• Can I book a single night reservation?
We have a 2-night minimum stay for the treehouse. However, as reservations pour in, having a few single nights left over is inevitable. We'll release those single nights at a later time (though single nights are not guaranteed to be left.)

  • What is the VIP Treehouse Experience?

  • When are you releasing more dates?
"Treehouse Release Day!” On the 15th of each month, we will release a block of 2018 dates. Reservations are first come, first served, and sell out fast! Set your reminders for next month's Treehouse Release Day on the 15th. Sign up for our TREEmail newsletter and follow us on Instagram to stay updated on new announcements!

  • Is the treehouse open all year?
Yes, we are open all year round! The room is equipped with air conditioning, fans, heaters, a fireplace, fluffy blankets and homemade quilts. We have an outdoor campfire for our VIP Treehouse Experience users. The outdoor shower has plenty of hot water. With our amenities, you will be comfortable anytime of the year!

  • Is there much to do in the area?
Absolutely! We are located in  Oconee County, which is almost entirely surrounded by water and mountains- any outdoor enthusiasts’ paradise! Relax and enjoying the classic board games inside the treehouse, and hiking our 40 acres (we have 2.5 miles of trails on site). For nearby hikes, you can choose from rolling country roads to challenging climbs into the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Chattooga Belle Farm is a short drive away, and is a place filled with magical views and romantic ambiance. Oconee County also offer horseback riding,  boating, waterfalls to explore, fishing, rafting/paddling, canoeing/kayaking, 100,000+ acres of wilderness, SCUBA diving, whitewater rafting, golf, ziplines, and last but not least, cycling! Oconee County is a hidden jewel known to local cyclist for road cycling.

  • What time is check in/out?
Check in at 3 pm on the day of arrival, and check out is 12pm on the day of departure.

  • Can I check in early?
We can arrange an early check in for a small charge as long as there is no reservation the night before. Early check in is not available if someone is staying in the treehouse the night before your stay, as they would not checkout until 12pm. We need time between reservations to ensure that you have the perfect arrival at the treehouse. Ask us for tips and fun things to do nearby before your check in time.

  • The dates I want are booked, do you have a cancellation list?
Yes! We do have a cancellation list, and when dates become available we will contact you. Please let us know when you are looking to stay by filling out the form on our 'Contact' page. We are more than happy to add you to our cancellation list.

  • Is food provided?
The treehouse has a 3 in 1 retro breakfast maker where you can make eggs, toast, and coffee. We also provide two water bottles and some light snacks for you to enjoy. You will also find a propane grill and ice chest  (which we keep filled with fresh ice for you) in the tree-deck dining room for your use. We recommend bringing some food with you that you can store in the ice chest and enjoy a picnic on the treehouse deck under the romantic chandelier! In addition, we offer a romantic dinner for two, delivered to your treehouse suite prepared by your hosts, Larry & Regina. Paid meals are subject to their availability. The meal would be your choice of smoky marinated grilled chicken or succulent lime pepper grilled salmon. The menu is seasonal and the sides change daily (we use fresh veggies from our garden). Send us a message on Airbnb to inquire about purchasing a meal. We will confirm availability 7 days before your stay.

  • Is there a bathroom?
Yes, of course! We have a small bathroom inside the main treehouse suite with one of our signature chandeliers inside. The shower is outdoors, the bathroom is not.

  • Can I bring my own wine?
Sure! A bottle of wine is provided for you when you purchase the VIP Treehouse Experience. Please enjoy red wine anywhere besides on top of our white sheets and rug. Spills happen to the best of us.

  • Are there restaurants close by?
There are some great restaurants nearby. Some of our favorites include:

    • Paesano’s (Italian) - is a short 5 minute drive from the treehouse! Fun fact: Seth worked here as a busboy back in the day. (They are closed Sunday and Monday.)
    • Puerto Nuevo (Mexican) - Also a 5 minute drive from the treehouse. (We always get the El Burro de la Roqueta!)
    • The Lighthouse (American/fine dining) - This spot is 12 miles away but worth the drive. You can enjoy lakeside dining, or take it to go and enjoy it in your treehouse palace!
    • Copper River Bar & Grill & Fatz Cafe are two high quality regional chains. We also have every variety of fast food.
  • What airport should I fly into?
Greenville/Spartanburg Airport (GSP) is the closest airport, and is just under an hour drive from us. Atlanta International (ATL) is a two hour drive.

  • Will I hear nature sounds inside the treehouse?
Yes, you’ll hear the birds singing and rain on the tin roof if it rains during your stay. Acorns and sticks are also prone to falling on the tin roof. We understand the need for a good night's sleep, so ear plugs are provided in the cabinets to help you sleep soundly.

  • Can I get married at Bolt Farm Treehouse, and how much does that cost?
Yes! We LOVE getting to be part of your special day! You are welcome to utilize the “Field of Dreams” across the way, and the arbor (where Seth & Tori got married). We just ask that you ask us first. Our belief is that weddings shouldn't be a financial burden; nature is the most beautiful & pure location! We don't have any hidden fees or up-charges.  You’re responsible to pick your own caterer and provide any extra needed items. You get the feel of an extravagant wedding in an upscale outdoor setting without being forced to pay high prices for everything else. We can currently accommodate small weddings of 15 people or less and require 14 days notice in advance of your stay.

  • What is your cancellation policy?
We have a strict cancellation policy due to the high demand for reservations. Cancel up to 7 days before check in and get a 50% refund. Cancel within 7 days of your trip and the reservation is non-refundable.

  • What should I do with my trash?
We ask that you leave all trash in the trash cans. There is a small trash can inside the treehouse, as well as a larger trash & recycling bin outside (located near the ramp) if needed.

  • Is there internet at the treehouse?
The treehouse gets cell phone reception , but we intentionally didn’t provide wifi inside because we hope each guest uses this time to disconnect from technology and enjoy nature and whomever they’re traveling with. Our vision is for our treehouse to be a place where technology doesn’t get in the way of quality time, a place where creative people can come to work without being interrupted, and a place where there is peace and quiet from the noise of the internet. (Pro Tip: Tell your friends you will be staying in an amazing treehouse, but “unfortunately” there is no service so you will be off the grid.)

  • Can I charge my phone anywhere?
Yes! The treehouse has several electric sockets for charging your phone if necessary. We do ask that you please be careful not to plug in too many things at once to avoid a power shortage.

  • Are children allowed at the treehouse?
Our treehouse was built for adults, and for liability reasons, we do not allow children under the age of 15 to stay in the treehouse. Our farm isn't childproof as there are many antiques and breakables inside the treehouse.

  • Are pets allowed?
We love animals, but we take pet-allergies seriously. Your furry friends have to stay at home.

  • How far is the (Clemson Tigers) Stadium from the treehouse?
We are a short 15 minute drive from the stadium. Ask us to tell you the secret way we go to the stadium-it will save you time!

  • Can friends visit me during my stay?
Our treehouse is intended for two people. Please contact us before your stay if you’d like to have friends join you for the day.

  • Who's the brown dog I see around the farm?
We do not allow pets at the treehouse due to guests allergy concerns. Occasionally when you are wandering the trails you may bump into our neighbor's friendly and furry companion, Pippa. He is friendly and may even accompany you on the stroll through the woods if you want some company!
