+ How do I book a reservation?

+ Can I book a single night reservation?
Our booking options are as follows:
- Weekdays: 2-night minimum with check-ins Mondays or Wednesdays.
- Weekends: 3-night minimum with check-in Friday.
+ The dates I want are booked, do you have a cancellation list?
Yes, when dates become available we will contact you. Please fill out the form on our Contact Page to get on the cancellations list.
+ What can we do in the area?
We highly recommend - highly, highly - you stay schedule-free and just unwind during your stay, but if you come in a couple of days early or leave Charleston a day late, we’d be happy to help you explore the local sites! Check out our Explore Charleston page!
+ What airport should I fly into?
Charleston International Airport (CHS) in North Charleston is about 30 minutes from us.
+ Should we rent a car?
While Uber and Lyft are available, we recommend getting a rental car due to the remoteness of our island.
+ Are children allowed?
The treehouses were built for adults, so we do not allow children under the age of 15 for liability reasons. Our property isn't childproof, as we’ve curated many delicate antiques and collectibles for your pleasure.
We love animals, but we take pet-allergies seriously. Your furry, scaled, and feathered friends have to stay at home.
+ What is your cancellation policy?
We have a strict cancellation policy due to high demand. Full refunds are only available within 48 hours of booking your reservation.
For a 100% refund of accommodation fees, cancellations (or rescheduling) must be made within 48 hours of booking and 30+ full days prior to the listing’s local check-in time of 3:00 PM.
For a 50% refund of accommodation fees, cancellations (or rescheduling) must be made 14+ full days prior to listing’s local check-in time of 3:00 PM.
No refunds will be awarded with less than 14 full days of notice. If a guest decides to check-out early, without redeeming all reserved days or nights, there will be no refunds provided. *Reservation Certificates are not refundable. They are transferrable, never expire and your dates can be modified if given 30+ days notice.
Cleaning fees are always refunded if the reservation is canceled before check-in. Our cancellation policies may be superseded by the Guest Refund Policy, extenuating circumstances, or cancellations by Airbnb for any other reason permitted under the Terms of Service. DURING YOUR STAY
+ What time is check in/out?
We need time between reservations to ensure that you have a picture-perfect arrival at Bolt Farm Treehouse.
- Check-in is 3:00 PM on the day of arrival.
- Check-out is 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
+ Food & beverage?
We offer locally roasted french press coffee, organic toast, and snack bars. Other goodies also appear from time-to-time. The treehouses have a kitchenette equipped with a mini-fridge, cooktop, and cookware. We also have a grill and pizza oven on the deck. To get the most out of our slow-living, relational, and mindfulness focused experience, we encourage our guests to cook. Check out our Explore Charleston page for dining-out and groceries options.
+ Bring my own wine?
Wine not! ;) Please enjoy red wine anywhere besides on top of our white sheets and rugs. Spills happen to the best of us, and you will be responsible to replace damaged items.
+ Internet and WiFi?
We strive to create a space to disconnect from technology, be enveloped by the stillness of nature, and deeply connect with each other. Bolt Farm Treehouse is a place where simple joys and quietness reign, creative people can work without endless interruptions, and devices and busyness don’t get in the way of quality time. We do have (limited) cell phone reception with most major carriers, but we do not provide free WiFi or internet services.
You can rent a WiFi Hotspot for $25/per day, upon request. Pro tip: tell your co-workers & friends that you will be staying in a treehouse on an island and will be off the grid for a few days! :)
+ Will I hear nature sounds inside the treehouse?
Yes, you’ll hear the birds singing, raindrops on the tin roof on rainy days, and the seasonal hum of crickets at night. Acorns and sticks occasionally fall on the tin roof. Please do not be alarmed. :)
+ Bathroom & shower?

We provide the cleanest possible high-end spa products to pamper yourself including aromatherapy shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We also offer natural insect repellent, hand soap, and common household items (just in case). Just bring your toiletry bag with personal hygiene products like toothpaste, deodorant, shaving cream, and beauty products. The rest we’ve got covered!
+ How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Based upon our best possible, most precise calculations, about 2.71-chord/hour during the spring season... but let us know if you got a different number.
All trash and recycling will go in the small cans located inside your treehouse suite. We will take care of the rest after you check-out. If you need trash removed from your room prior to check-out, please let us know and we will happily take it.
+ Charge my phone?
There’s plenty of electricity, and we recommend leaving your phone on Airplane Mode during your stay :)
+ Can friends visit?
Yes, with approval. Please contact us before your stay if you’d like to have friends join you for the day.
